Today is the last day for early registration with Jefferson Davis County Schools.

All current students who will attend JDCSD schools for the 2021-2022 school year must complete onsite registration.

Please be aware that each grade level has an assigned date for registration.  Please contact your child’s school for information on your child’s grade level registration.

Registration for students new to JDCSD at any grade level, including new incoming kindergarten students, opened the first week of May.

A child is eligible to attend kindergarten in the fall of 2021 if the child will be five years old on or before Sept. 1.

During the registration process, families will need to turn in the following items:

Birth certificate and social security (new students only).

Documentation provided to the school by parent/guardian/other adult (new students only):

(Minimum of two required for all students; cannot have P. O. Box address)

1. Filed Homestead Exemption Application Form
2. Mortgage Documents or Property Deed
3. Apartment or Home Lease
4. Utility Bill (Current)
5. Voter Registration Car
6. Voter Precinct Identification
7. Automobile Registration (Current)
8. *Affidavit of Residency (Personal Visit by Designated School Official) 9.  DHS Documentation

 

If the student is living with legal guardian, a certified copy of the court decree, or petition if pending, was received declaring the district resident to be the legal guardian of the student and further declaring that the guardianship was formed for the purpose other than establishing residency for school district attendance purposes.

If the student is living with an adult other than parent or legal guardian and the adult has provided a sworn affidavit stating his/her relationship to the student, and that the student will be living in his/her home full time and fully explaining the reason that the student is in the school attendance zone.
