A graduation parade was held last week at G. W. Carver Elementary School in Bassfield for the students in kindergarten. First through 8th grade classes watched and cheered as the students were paraded around the school grounds. When they reached the front of the school they received their diploma from Carver Principal Dr. Crystal Haynes. “My second grade students loved holding signs and cheering for the kindergarten students as they rode by,” said Carver second grade teacher Nita Shoemake. Carver kindergarten teachers are Hannah Hathorn and Berisha Odom. There were a total of 42 students in kindergarten.
