tirelessly to uplift the Jefferson Davis County community. Founded by Dulana D.

Reese, daughter of Cammie and Duane Reese of Bassfield, this annual scholarship is her contribution to the community that helped her to grow into the person she is today.

“I am extremely proud that through the Reese Foundation Scholarship there was an opportunity to support a well-deserving student such as Kierra Hall as she graduates from JDC High School. Though there were other worthy candidates, Ms. Hall’s application demonstrated great insight to her future plans and how she hopes to one day give back to our community,” said Reese.

The winner of the scholarship was determined by a scholarship committee that was made up of one native of Bassfield, one native of Prentiss and one native of Jackson. It was based on a rubric and points-based system.

Reese Foundation Scholarship is worth $500 and is to be used towards the student’s career or educational goals. Students who wish to apply for the 2021-2022 school term please seek updates from the website ddreese.com.
