Memorial services were held Tuesday, June 15, 2021, in Carson, for Mr. Orenthel Javarese Gholar, 42, who died Friday, June 11, 2021, in Jefferson Davis County.  Rev. Ronnie Barnes officiated. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is the son of Mr. Charles Gholar and Mrs. Pamela Cook. He was a member of Prentiss First Baptist Church.  He is married to Mrs. Kristi Smith. Mr. Gholar was a pipefitter who loved raising pit bulldogs and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Kristi Smith of Prentiss; sons, Orion Gholar, Joseph Williams, Jr. and Tyriq Millsap all of Prentiss; father, Charles Gholar of Oklahoma; mother, Pamela Cook of Carson; mother-in-law, Lisa Smith of Hattiesburg; sisters, Chara Johnson of Magee; Londra McInnis of Prentiss and Kadre Leavy of Hattiesburg.
