Justin D. Pipkins, MD recently joined Hattiesburg Clinic Anesthesiology.

Pipkins provides anesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures and patients, including cardiac, vascular, orthopaedics, ENT and pediatrics. His goal is to provide the best possible care for his patients throughout the preoperative process. He has special practice interests in regional anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks. 

Pipkins received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, Jackson, Miss. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he served as chief resident during his residency.

Pipkins is board eligible in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology and is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

“I chose to be a physician because the medical field is a perfect combination of science and service,” Pipkins said. “Medicine gives me a chance to utilize physiology and problem-solving to positively impact the lives of others. I feel that anesthesiologists are privileged with a unique patient interaction. We often meet people at their most vulnerable moments and are able to introduce a sense of calm and comfort to them.”

Pipkins is married to the former Haley Bryant of Bassfield.
