Graveside services were held Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, at McSwain Community Cemetery in Richton for Mr. Johnny C. Miller, 67, who died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021,at his residence. Rev. Charlotte Cox officiated with Johnson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Johnny C. Miller was born to the late Eransom and Margaretta Miller. He joined St. Paul Baptist Church at an early age and graduated from Richton High School in 1974.  He retired from Georgia Pacific after 30 years and later retired from Hood Industries after 10 years.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by two sisters, Mattie and Catherine Miller; six brothers, Eransom Miller Jr., Jimmy Miller, Ralph Miller, Jerry Miller, Chris Miller and Billy Ray Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Addie Miller; two sons, Micheal Carrell and Jamarr Payne; one daughter, Valerie Miller; six grandchildren, Mekala Miller, Treshaman Dixon, Kadarrius Carrell, Kalis Miller, Julian Carrell and Jamya Miller; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Elijah (Shirley) Miller of Augusta, Georgia: three sisters, Margie (Lewis) McClure, Barbara (Willie) Hinton and Janet Miller of Richton and many other relatives and friends.
