Funeral services for Martha Ann “Jukie” Stringer Shivers were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel.  Mrs. Shivers, age 58, passed away from this life on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021, at her residence in Florence.  Rev. Billy Bridges officiated.  Interment followed in Whitesand Cemetery.

Saulters Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were are Adam Prine, Stephen Jones, Justin Young, Wade Evans, Brady Allen and Wade Barr.

“Jukie” was born on Dec. 4, 1962, in Prentiss to Charles Stringer and Annette Baker Stringer.  Jukie was a homemaker and was known as an outstanding cook.  She enjoyed her grandchildren and keeping up with family and friends on Facebook.  Jukie was a member of Whitesand Baptist Church.

Mrs. Shivers was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Annette Stringer.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Shivers of Florence; one son, Christopher Griffith of Prentiss; one sister, Connie Stringer of Prentiss and three grandchildren Natalie Griffith, Caylea Ledet and Landon Ledet.  Jukie also leaves behind six aunts, Winnie Blanton, Betty Horning, Janice “Tootie” Allen, Patricia McKinzie, Joann Smith and one uncle, Charles Baker.

Visitation was Friday evening, Aug. 27, 2021, from 6 p.m. until the 8 p.m. at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.
