Remembrance walk held in Prentiss this morning

This morning members of Prentiss Fire Department and local volunteer fire firefighters, along with members of the community, took part in a walk through the Town of Prentiss to remember the lives lost on this day 20 years ago. Also remembered were the many firefighters, emergency personnel and law enforcement officers that paid the ultimate sacrifice that day with courage and bravery to help their fellow man.
“On behalf of the Prentiss Fire Department we would like to give a huge thank you to Mayor Charley Dumas and the Board of Aldermen with the Town of Prentiss for the opportunity to take part in a very special moment this morning as we remember the tragedy that occurred 20 years ago,” said Prentiss Fireman Michael Davis.
“Thank you to everyone who made it out this morning to participate. A special thanks to Sheriff Ron Strickland and Prentiss Police Officer Debbie Rider for the escort this morning. Most importantly, we give credit to our Lord and Savior for allowing us to remember those who fell that day.”
