The Jefferson Davis County Jaguars have advanced to the second round of state playoffs after defeating the Clarksdale Bulldogs last week 54-19.

After an 0-4 start to the season, the Jags swept the district defeating Perry Central, Seminary, St. Patrick, West Marion and St. Stanislaus to become the 8 3-A district champions.

The Jaguars will travel to Hazlehurst this Friday to take on the Hazlehurst Indians. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. Tickets will not be sold at the gate and must be purchased on the gofan app.
