Funeral services for Mr. Randy Allan Greene were conducted Friday afternoon, Nov. 5, 2021, at 2 p.m. from the Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel.  Graveside services with full Military Honors followed at Carson Cemetery.  Rev. Jack Andrews and Rev. Tim Myers officiated. Mr. Greene, age 58, entered into eternal rest late Sunday evening, Oct. 31, 2021, at his home in Carson.

Saulters Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Randy was born Jan. 18, 1963 in Jefferson Davis County to Larry Boyd and Loretta Fortenberry Greene.

Staff Sergeant Randy Greene proudly served nearly 24 years in the Army National Guard with a deployment to Iraq and Kuwait during Operation Desert Storm and mobilized to Camp Shelby during Operation Iraqi Freedom.  Staff Sergeant Greene attained many decorations, including the Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal/2nd award, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device.  After retirement, he worked as a Humvee mechanic for Combined Support Maintenance Shop, Camp Shelby.

Before Randy was mobilized, he worked for the Mississippi Highway Department and Howard Industries; in addition, he also worked for Circle S Sandblasting and Coating in New Hebron, where he served as an assistant to the plant manager.  Randy especially loved his family and also enjoyed fishing in his leisure time.  He was a member of Carson Baptist Church.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Larry Boyd Greene and his brother, Marty Greene.

His memory will be cherished by his wife, Rhonda L. Greene of Carson; his mother, Loretta Greene of Carson; one step-daughter, Courtney Everett and her husband, Jeremy of Seminary; 1 sister, Amanda Manning and her husband, Paul of Pearl  and three grandchildren, Baker Everett, Oakleigh Everett and Ryleigh Everett.

The family received friends Thursday evening from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.
