Walter Daley

Funeral services for Mr. Walter Daley were conducted Monday, Nov. 15, 2021 at 11 a.m. at  St. Peters Catholic Church in Bassfield. Interment followed at St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Carson.  Father Chinnappa Raj Marc officiated.  Mr. Daley, age 74, passed away Friday at his home in Bassfield, surrounded by those he loved.

Saulters Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Serving as pallbearers were Jason Kerley, Jonathan Kerley, Denny Daley, Noel Skinner, Heath Skinner and Robert Carr.

Mr. Daley was born on April 28, 1947 in Bassfield, to Chris and Ruth Terrell Daley. Walter worked as a Journeyman Pipefitter/Welder with Local 713. He was also a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.  In addition, Walter had a passion for his grandchildren and enjoyed attending their sporting events.  He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Bassfield.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of over 50 years, Rachel H. Daley of Bassfield; one son, Bryan Daley of He Purvis; two daughters, Lori Bartran (Daniel) of Ellisville and Jessica Cochran (Sandy) of Laurel; one brother, John Daley of Bassfield; one sister, Patricia Harrington of Bassfield and six grandchildren, Jared Daley, Ethan Daley, Taylor Daley, Lila Bartran, Levi Cochran and Daley Cochran.

A Rosary was held Sunday evening at 5:30 p.m. at St Peters Parish Hall with visitation following until 8:30 p.m.
