A two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon sent one to the hospital and left a thankful family with minor injuries. Prentiss Christian School Headmaster Kevin Walker, and his wife Heather and three children, were traveling down Highway 13 North in route to the school for their oldest daughter’s basketball practice. “We were headed to the school and the next thing I know I saw red and heard a crash,” said driver Heather Walker. Roger Newsome was driving the red truck that collided with the Walkers. Newsome was traveling home from dialysis and witnesses say he was turning left on to Old Hebron Road in front of the path of the Walkers. Newsome was airlifted from the scene with serious injuries. The Walkers just had a few scrapes and bruises. “It could have been so much worse,” said Kevin Walker. “The Lord certainly protected us and we are blessed and grateful.”
