Graveside services were held Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Griffith Cemetery for Mr. Henry E. Buckely, 68, who died Friday, May 6, 2022, at Singing River Hospital in Pascagoula. Rev. Robert Collins officiated with Johnson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Henry Buckley was the second child of 12 born to the late John Henry and the late Baby Ruth Buckley in Jefferson Davis County.  He joined church at an early age and was a member of Union Baptist Church in Pascagoula, Mississippi.  He graduated from J. E. Johnson High School in Prentiss, Mississippi.  Mr. Buckley retired from Huntington Ingalls Shipyard after 30 plus years of continual employment as a journeyman electrician. He was a member of IBEW Local 903 of Gulfport and IBEW Local 733 of Ingalls Shipyard.

He was preceded in death by a host of nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his daughter, Deandra Buckley and son, Demetri Price both of Moss Point; devoted friend, Dorothy Williams of Pascagoula; two grandchildren, LaDarius and Jalexis Dukes; three great-grandchildren; brothers, John A. (Liz) Buckley of Moss Point; Troy L. (Annie) Buckley of Prentiss; Jamie Buckley of Prentiss and Michael (Sheletta) Buckley of Florence; sisters, Barbara Buckley of Prentiss; Myannice Griffin of Jackson; Mary (Buford) Drummonds and Sarah Simpson both of Bassfield; Millie Barnes of Powder Springs, Georgia; Alice F. Price of Collins; Melissa (Erwin) Sullivan of Prentiss and many other relatives and friends.
