Funeral services for Mr. Olin C “OC” Geiger Jr. were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Carson.  Rev. Mike Aultman officiated.  Interment followed in Speights Cemetery in Carson.

Mr. Geiger, age 84, entered into the eternal rest of his Lord early Saturday morning, May 14, 2022, at his residence in Carson. He was born on May 13, 1938, in Jefferson Davis County to Olin C Sr. and Florence Anne Speights Geiger.  Bro. OC Geiger loved his God and served him faithfully at Ebenezer Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, sang in the choir and was happy to serve in any other capacity needed.  After graduation from high school, OC served his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force.  He worked for Holland Construction Company in Columbia, MS earlier in his career.  Later, OC would work as a supervisor for the Pearl River Valley Opportunity, Inc (PRVO) before eventually becoming self-employed in the construction business.  In addition to building, he had a passion for growing crops.  OC was a giving man, who loved to share his vegetables with his friends and neighbors.  It’s been said that he discovered the more vegetables he gave away, the greater his harvest was.  OC will be missed by his family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Olin C Sr. and Florence Anne Geiger and two brothers, Travis Geiger and Craig Geiger.
