Book signing set for Prentiss Public Library

The Prentiss Public Library is hosting a book signing by author Thaye Dampier Haralson. The signing will be July 15 from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m.

Haralson is a native of Mount Olive and is the daughter of the late Mr. Eddie Dampier and Mildred Kersh Dampier. She is a 1973 graduate of Mount Olive High School, a 1975 graduate of Jones College and a 1978 graduate of Jackson State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education/Administration.  Her first book, entitled, “It’s Time to Turn the Page” was released in December 2021.

The book is about some of Haralson’s life journey from childhoo to present. “This book is not only about me telling my story, but that others may be inspired to tell their own story, because we all have a story to tell,” said Harelson. “If you don’t turn the page, how will you know what’s in the next chapter?”

Harelson is a widower after 36 years of marriage to the late James Edward Haralson, and is the proud mother of four wonderful children. She now resides in Jackson.
