Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at Sweetwater Methodist Church for Mr. Willie McInnis, 75, who died Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg.  Rev. Gholar officiated with interment following at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Mt. Olive.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Willie McInnis was born to the late Willie Sr. and Adella McInnis in Seminary, Mississippi. He was a diligent worker and avid fisherman and hunter. He was a truckdriver for over 50 years, driving for: Fairchild Construction Company, Waters Trucking and a logging company.

Mr. McInnis was married to Miss Minnie Pearl Cooley and two daughters were born to this union, later he had a son. He later married the late Mary Louise (Cat) Price.

He is survived by four children, Maurice McInnis and Jacqueline McInnis both of Flint, Michigan; Willie Harrington of Kilean, Texas and Sandra Price of Bassfield; sister and brother, Ethel McGowan and LeOtis McInnis both of Collins; Paul McInnis of Oak Grove; six granddaughters; 18 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
