Woman charged with murder of missing Rankin County man

The body of a missing man was found in Jefferson Davis County last Wednesday.

According to Jefferson Davis County Sheriff Ron Strickland the body of a white male was found on Gulf Camp Road the morning of Sept. 7, by pipeline workers.

Jefferson Davis County Coroner Dedra Johnson has confirmed it is Carson Sistrunk.

Sistrunk, 24,  was reported missing Sept. 4 by the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department.

A family member posted on social media that he had gone to meet a female he had been communicating with on Snapchat.

Prior to Sistrunk’s discovery, his truck, a Ford Raptor, had been located in Jefferson Davis County with a female driving. Sierra Inscoe, 20, of Nashville,  was taken into custody by Rankin County deputies for questioning, at the time, on a missing persons case.

After the body was discovered, she was transferred to the Jefferson Davis County jail for questioning and subsequently released.

An arrest warrant has since been issued from Jefferson Davis County.

She was arrested in Rankin County and has been charged with the murder of Carson Sistrunk.

She will be transferred back to Jefferson Davis County and will make an initial appearance Wednesday morning before Jefferson Davis County Justice Court Judge Calvin Graves.
