James Floyd Smith passed away late Wednesday night, Nov. 16, 2022, at the Myrtles Nursing Center in Columbia.  Mr. Smith was 75 years of age.

A memorial service honoring Mr. Smith will be announced at a later date.

He was born on Jan. 16, 1947, in Columbia to Floyd P. and Imogene Blount Smith.  A proud veteran, Mr. Smith served his country in the United States Air Force for 12 years.  He spent his career as a technician in the field of Aviation Electronics.

Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd P. and Imogene Smith; brother, Douglas Blount Smith and sister, Elizabeth Anne Smith.

He is survived by two daughters, Connie Smith (Larry) Holman of Kokomo; Donna Smith (Steven) Holifield of Pascagoula; sister, Mary Smith of Bassfield; brother, Larry Smith of Alexandria, Virginia and four grandchildren.
