Parade planned honoring MLK Jr.

The annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade is scheduled for Jan. 14 in Prentiss. The parade will begin at 2 p.m.

Grand marshals for the parade will be Mr. and Mrs. Howard White, who are both longtime, supporting members of the Jefferson Davis County NAACP organization.

All churches, businesses, civic clubs and schools are invited to participate in this grand event, “Honoring the Power of a Dream!”

The parade is sponsored by the Jefferson Davis County branch of the NAACP.

“Thanks in advance for your support,” said Reese. “We are much better working together as a community.”

Line-up for parade with begin at 12:30 pm at the Jeffersonian Inn parking lot and end at the JDC Middle School.

Several churches in the community have already signed up to participate.
