Graveside services for Mrs. Waudena King Dyess of Slidell, Louisiana were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, at the Deen Cemetery in Bassfield.

Rev. Brent King officated.  Mrs. Dyess, age 88, entered into the eternal rest of her Lord Wednesday morning, Jan. 4, 2022, at her residence in Slidell, Louisiana.

Saulters Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Her nephews served as pallbearers.

Waudena King Dyess was born on April 13, 1934 in Jefferson Davis County, to Clarence and Luvenia Napier King.  She loved her family very much and will be missed by all who knew her.  Mrs. Dyess was a member of the Methodist Church.

Mrs. Dyess was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Luvenia King as well as her hus-band, Robert Earl Dyess.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her sons, Kendall Dyess (Shellie) of Slidell, Louisiana, Garry Patrick Dyess (Donna) of Pearl River, Louisiana; her sister, Bobbie Boleware of Carson, and her brother, Aubrey King of Petal.  Mrs. Dyess also leaves behind a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
