The Love Fest concert tour is coming back to Bassfield this weekend.

The event will be held April 1 in Faler Park. The Mississippi Ministry Team will provide  live gospel music from noon until 4 p.m. with many gospel artists including Angela Lewis and Glennis Cooley.

“This is going to be a great day with group music ministry spreading the love and encouraging to stop the violence,” said Bassfield Mayor Angie Ladner.

Blues, rap and country music will be heard in the park be from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

DJ Bum Bum and Bum Bum Gospel Productions, along with DJ Babiboi will be at the event sending the message to “Stop the Violence” and “Put Those Guns Down.”

Vendors will be available in the park with food, nutrition drinks, etc. There is still time to sign up for a vendor or pop-up shop location.

This is the second annual Love Fest concert to be held in Bassfield and Mayor Ladner hopes it will grow larger each year.
