Funeral services were held Friday, April 7, 2023, at Ruby K. Johnson Chapel, Prentiss, Mississippi for Mr. Carl Lewis Gray, 69, who passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.

Rev. Ronnie E. Brown officiated with interment following in the Gray Family Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Carl Lewis Gray is the son of the late E. D. and Lela Herron Gray. He worked as a laborer, but later became disabled. He loved fishing, riding horses, and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his siblings, Helen Gray McGee, Detroit, Michigan; Jewel (Melvin) Crutchfield, Vacaville, Georgia; Edwina (BJ) Brown, Florence; Judith (Larry) Brown, Jackson, MS; Jerry (Della) Gray, Fairfield, California; Mervin Gray, Prentiss and many other relatives and friends.
