Funeral services were held Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Ruby K. Johnson Chapel, Prentiss, Mississippi for Miss Leiira Rene Teasley, 39, who passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023, in Temple, Texas.

Rev. Gregory Parkman officiated with interment following in the Galilee Baptist Church Cemetery.

Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Miss Leiira Rene Teasley is the daughter of Reggie Magee and Helena Teasley. She attended Macedonia Baptist Church. She was a certified CNA, medication assistant, and worked at the Prison in Gatesville, Texas.

She is survived by her sons, Dorean Newsome and Kobe Newsome of Temple, Texas; father, Reggie Magee (Louise) of Hattiesburg; mother, Helena Teasley of Hattiesburg; sister, Kimberly Teasley, Temple, Texas; brothers, Mostaphus Teasley, Temple, Texas; Dorean Denzel, Greenwood; and many other relatives and friends.
