Pearlie Mae Fuller was born Nov. 7, 1942, in Kentwood, Louisiana, to Elijah and Lena Ward Gill.

She grew up in Louisiana and moved to Mississippi, where she and her late husband, Jim, raised a loving family consisting of four daughters and two sons.

Over the years, the family would grow to include in-laws, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many happy memories would be made, which are now treasures to those she loved.

One of the sweetest memories is that she gave each child, grandchild and great-grandchild a five-dollar bill for their birthdays, making each one feel special and very loved. In addition to working at

the garment factory in Monticello, Mrs. Fuller also served as the custodian at Prentiss Baptist Church and also worked at Hudson’s Salvage.

Her family remarks that among the many things in life she enjoyed, she got the most pleasure out of spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Fuller was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Fuller was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Lena Gill; her beloved husband, James Monroe Fuller; a daughter, Lena Fuller; three sisters, Nancy Bealer, Helen Lee, Cleo Fuller and her great grandson, Sawyer Lowery.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughters, Elaine Hunt (Thomas) of Carson, Anita Fuller Lowery (the late Michael Lowery) of Columbia, Rita Maness (the late Curtis Maness) of Columbia; her sons, James E. Fuller of Mt. Olive and Mark Fuller of Bassfield.  She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
