Beaver Creek Distillery to host Mississippi author event this weekend

Beaver Creek Distillery is proud to announce its upcoming Spirit Saturdays event, Books and Gin, on April 22 from noon till 6 pm. This is the first event of a series featuring Mississippi authors.

This event will feature Mississippi author Ralph Eubanks, who will read from his latest book, A Place Like Mississippi: A Journey Through a Real and Imagined Literary Landscape.

Spirit Saturdays is an ongoing series of events hosted by Beaver Creek Distillery, featuring live music, small batch spirits, food, and fun.

Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy spirits crafted by Beaver Creek’s Master Distiller, along with a selection of food and live music from Bo Foster and Friends.

Ralph Eubanks is a well-known Mississippi author and journalist, whose works have been published in The New Yorker, The Atlantic and The Oxford American.

He has written extensively about the intersection of race, culture, and identity in America, and his latest book explores the rich literary landscape of Mississippi, both real and imagined.

His writing has appeared in Vanity Fair, The American Scholar, The Georgia Review, and the New Yorker.  He is a 2007 Guggenheim fellow and a 2021-2022 Harvard Radcliffe Institute fellow.

Beaver Creek Distillery Beaver Creek Distillery is a small-batch, family-owned distillery located in the heart of Piney Woods Mississippi, near Bassfield. They produce spirits using locally sourced ingredients and traditional distilling techniques. The distillery is open to the public for tours, tastings, and events throughout the year.
