Barnes selected as JDCH graduation speaker

Jefferson Davis County School District has announced that Dr. Fronce Barnes, 2002 graduate and Salutatorian of Bassfield High School, will be the class of 2023 commencement speaker.

The graduation ceremony will be held May 19 at 6 p.m. at Jefferson Davis County Middle School in Prentiss.

Dr. Barnes is the youngest son of retired educators, Otho Sr. and Dorothy Barnes.

He is the owner of Kearney Park Compounding Pharmacy. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2008.

As the owner of one of the top compounding pharmacies in Dallas Fort Worth, Texas, Fronce specializes in hormone replacement therapy, pain management alternatives, weight loss and stress management to name a few.

Dr. Barnes is a life member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Natalie Barnes and daughter. Dr. Barnes is currently working on his first book.

“We are delighted to lead a district of countless successful past and present students,” said Jefferson Davis County Superintendent Ike Haynes.  “With that being said, district leaders will induct Dr. Fronce Barnes, into Jefferson Davis County School District’s Hall of Fame as the second inductee.” Dr. Felecia Nave was the first recipient of this prestigious honor.
