Juneteenth is the nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. It is now recognized as a national federal holiday on June 19 of each year.

Juneteenth is supported not only as a tribute of African American freedom, but as an example of encouragement of self-development and respect for all cultures.
