Sharon L. Bullock was born on Dec. 5, 1954, to Lee M. and Arlene Myers Gentry.  Born and raised in Jefferson Davis County, Mrs. Bullock worked most of her life as a waitress; many of those years were spent at Lola’s One Stop in Silver Creek, where she made numerous friends.  Sharon will also be remembered as one that loved her family very much.  Some of the fondest memories were made going with her children to the Smokey Mountains and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  A doting Granny to her grandchildren, she looked forward to spoiling them, especially during the holidays.  Whether it was handing out candy during Halloween or making huge Easter Baskets for each one, these special memories will forever live on in the hearts of those that called her “Granny”.  However, Christmas was her favorite time of year and having all of her family with her made this time of year all the more special.  She was also an awesome cook and her family always looked forward to her fried chicken, fried pork chops and her special coconut cake, made with sour cream.  Sharon also enjoyed tending to her flowers in her yard and also fishing; but one of her absolute favorite things to do was going “Penny Shopping” at the local dollar stores.  She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
