The Town of Prentiss is currently experiencing a power outage. Approximately 664 Entergy customers are without power after an MDOT maintenance vehicle struck a power pole on Highway 84 just outside of Prentiss.

Please use the intersection at Regions Bank like a four-way stop.

Prentiss City Hall, the Prentiss Post Office and both banks are closed for now, as well as most other businesses.

All Jefferson Davis County Schools are closed as well as Prentiss Christian School.

Power is expected to be restored in four to five hours.
