Jimmy Dale Hutchinson Sr. was born on Dec. 1, 1951, in Prentiss, to J.P. and Inez Saulters Hutchinson.  Jim grew up in Bassfield and moved his family to Biloxi, where they lived for many years.   In 1991, he moved his family back to this area and has resided here ever since.  Jim worked most of his life in construction.

Having an eye for detail, he was highly skilled not only as a carpenter, but also as a painter.  It is notable that Jim was very involved in the construction of the new lobby and chapel addition of Saulters Moore Funeral Home, as well as the remodeling of the existing building around 1994.  Among his past times, he enjoyed fishing; but absolutely loved to watch his New Orleans Saints and Mississippi State Bulldogs play football.

In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by his grandson, Jake McRaney and several siblings.

His memory will forever be cherished by his wife of 20 years, Kim Dyess Hutchinson of Bassfield; his daughter, Dawn Hutchinson (John McRaney) of Prentiss; his son, Jimmy Dale Hutchinson Jr. of Prentiss; a sister, Hazel Junda of New Orleans, Louisiana; a brother, David Hutchinson of Bassfield; his two granddaughters, Brittany Hutchinson and Caitie Graves and also two great-granddaughters.
