Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, at Ruby K. Johnson Chapel for Mr. Herbert Dewayne Reese, 49, who died Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg.

Rev. Ozell White officiated with Johnson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Herbert Reese was born to Mrs. Herbert Reese and Mrs. Archie Nell Reese. 

He was a 1992 graduate of Prentiss High School and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

He loved doing mechanic work, fishing, music and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Herbert and Archie Nell Reese; three daughters, Natasha Macks and Asha Reese both of Prentiss; and Mary Reese of Jackson; one son, DeMario Macks of Prentiss; sister, Kizzy (Kenneth) Hall of Prentiss; one brother, Tony Davis of Berlin, Germany; seven grandchildren; two special friends, Debbie Sue Buckley of Gulfport; Laura Macks, the mother of his children and many other relatives and friends.
