Jefferson Davis County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to 57 Barnes Avenue in Bassfield at approximately 9:05 Tuesday night with reports of a shooting. When officers arrived they found Patrick Snow, 46, of Bassfield sitting in his vehicle dead of a gunshot wound. On Thursday afternoon, Laquilla Owens, 26, of Bassfield, turned himself in to the Jefferson Davis County Sheriff’s Office and was charged with murder.
