Funeral services were held Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Bassfield Pentecostal Church in Bass-field, for Mrs. Rubbie Lee Buckley, 85, who died Monday, March 4, 2024, at Bedford Care in Petal.

Rev. Anna Rose Keys officiated with interment following at Willie Buckley Cemetery in Bassfield.

Mrs. Rubbie Lee Buckley was born to the late Jessie and Aletha Keys in Jefferson Davis Coun-ty.

She attended Carver High School and joined the Bassfield Pentecostal Church and later at-tended New Jerusalem Apostolic Church where she remained a member until her health failed. She worked at Magnetek Manufacturing for 42 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Buckley; daughter, Marie Lee Buckley; grand-children, Lexiana Gholar and Cedrick Buckley; siblings, Annie Graves, Mary Jane Nelson, Gear-lean Nelson, Juanita Nelson, Jack Jr. Keys, Robert E. Keys, William Keys, Bernice Hathorn, Ver-die Keys, Joe Keys and William Jack Keys.

She is survived by six sons, Willie (Charlotte) Keys Jr. of Columbia, Charlie (Lucille) Buckley of Laurel, Thomas (Angela) Buckley of Bassfield, Charles (Mia) Buckley of Gulfport, Robert (Mari-lyn) Buckley of Hattiesburg, Terry (Kersheil) Buckley of Bassfield, MS, James (kathleen) Evan of Maxie; five daughters, Mary (Larry) Fairley of California, Bobbie (Ronald) Wilson of Bassfield, Linda (Alfred) Gholar of Hattiesburg, Cassender Buckley of Bassfield, Earlean (Syvoid) Transou of Jackson, Tennessee and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great grand-children and relatives and friends.
