Famed author will be at Beaver Creek Distillery Saturday

Beaver Creek Distillery has announced another upcoming Spirit Saturdays event, Books and Bourbon, on June 22 from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m.
This event will feature Mississippi author Dale Beasley, who will read from his latest book, What I Learned at Bastogne.
Beasley is an international and two-time best-selling author of What I Learned at the Zoo, We Will Not Be Home by Christmas.
He is a sixth generation retired Army Lieutenant Colonel and an Iraqi War Veteran. Over a 31-year brilliant career, he served throughout Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Beasley is a trauma/emergency registered nurse and graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, the Academy of Health Sciences and the United States Army Command and General Staff College. A member of the US Army Medical Service Corps, he is also an honorary member of HRH Queen Elizabeth’s Royal Medical Corps. Father of four, he proudly shares that both his sons have served in the US Armed Services. Beasley and his family live in Gluckstadt.
Spirit Saturdays is an ongoing series of events hosted by Beaver Creek Distillery, featuring live music, small batch spirits, food, and fun. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy spirits crafted by Beaver Creek’s Master Distiller, along with a selection of food and live music from Bo Foster and Friends.
Beaver Creek Distillery is a small-batch, family-owned distillery located at 96 B George W. King Road in Bassfield. They produce spirits using locally sourced ingredients and traditional distilling techniques.
The distillery is open to the public for tours, tastings, and events throughout the year.
