Awards presented to JDC 4-H participants

The 2024 JDC 4-H awards and recognition program was held on Aug. 18.
The program recognized 4-H’ers and volunteers who have participated and supported the 4-H programs throughout the year.
4-H’ers were awarded money stipends for their placing in competitions, showmanship and other 4-H club activities.
“A special thank you to the community members, parents, District 5 Supervisor Jerry Gholar and District 5 School Board Member Von Norwood for their attendance and support, said Extension Agent Latonya Ramsey-Chandler.
The following awards were presented at the program:
4-H LEGO Engineering : Ava Jones, Mikey Sumrall, Ra’Niyah Duncan, Zach Smith, Savannah Smith, Mikiya Fortenberry, Brayden Fortenbery, Nathan Musgrove and Kellen Campbell.
4-H STEM Presentation: Ava Jones, Tyree Mobley, Landis Chander and Cody Ramsey.
4-H Livestock/Showmanship: Kristin Walden and Jordan Walden.
4-H Garden/Horticulture: Madisyn Young, Aiden Young and Musique Young.
4-H Teens As Teachers/Ed Prep (JDC Academic Success): William Hobson, Zakiyah McCray, Kennedi Hall, Caycee Wilson, Connor Hudson, Te’Asia Milton, Manyla Carrell, Da’Maya Eskew and Aryionia McClain.
4-H Record book: Mikiya Fortenberry.
4-H Public Speaking/Visual Presentations: Ava Jones, Mikiya Fortenberry, Landis Chandler and Tyree Mobley.
4-H Consumer Judging: Tyree Mobley and Landis Chandler.
4-H Adult Volunteers: Edna White, Susan Hoxie, Joel Hoxie, Pam Johnson-Armstrong and Katrina Smith.
4-H Ambassador: Katelyn Chandler.
