Mrs. Brown served her Lord and church as church mother, financial secretary, Sunday school teacher, trustee, and as a Home and Foreign Mission teacher, and was known as a prayer warrior.

As a young woman, Mrs. Brown married Arthur Brown of Lawrence County, and to this union one son was born and other children added through God-given love and nurturing.
