Funeral services were held February 28, 2015, at Progress MB Church, Bassfield, for Mr. Jessie Earl Graves, 56, who died February 23 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Rev. Kippy Paige officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jessie Earl Graves was born to the late Myrte Mae and Jessie Earl Graves. He was a devoted employee of King’s Lumber in Bassfield for 26 years. He was a member of Progress MB Church.

He is survived by daughter, Shiquita (LeJarius) Wills of Hurley; son, Antonio (Raquel) Felder of Pascagoula; seven grandchildren; special friend, Margaret Bailey of Bassfield; four sisters, Bertha McLeod of Pascagoula, Ollie Mae (Lonnie) Knight of Bassfield, Ruth (James) Brown of Moss Point, and Marcia (Robert) Gardin of Hampton, VA; four brothers, Lonnie Ray Graves of Bassfield, Robert (Barbara) Graves of Collins, Rae (Tasha) Graves of Petal, and Martin (Shelia) Graves of Pascagoula.
