Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at Saulters Moore Chapel in Prentiss, for Mr. Michael John Lowery, Sr., age 56, who passed away July 12, at his residence in Columbia, MS. Rev. John Lowery officiated. Interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Casey Boyd, James Hunt, Mark Fuller, Brent Hobgood, Eric Bailey and Brady Hobgood.

Michael was born June 11, 1959, in Columbia, MS. He was the son of John Lowery and Lois Evelyn Slay. He worked as a carpenter in New Orleans, LA.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Fuller Lowery of Columbia, MS; two daughters, Patricia and Jessica Lowery, both of Columbia; one son, Michael John Lowery, Jr. of Foxworth, MS; nine grandchildren; his father & step mother, John & Sue Lowery of Pine, LA; four sisters, Shirley Boyd (Jimmy) of Columbia, Elaine Sumrall (Henry) of Foxworth, Carla Stephens and Paula Hobgood both of Columbia, MS; two brothers, Joe Lowery (Angela) of Columbia and Robert Lowery (Betty) of Foxworth; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
