Funeral services were held Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Pt. Pleasant MB Church in Mt. Olive, for Mrs. Carrie Ann Magee Jones, 62, who died Monday, October 19, in Magee. Elder Bonus Brown officiated with interment following in the Friendship MB Church Cemetery, Collins. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Carrie Ann Magee Jones was born to the late Harvest and Kathleen Magee in Covington County. She was raised in the Friendship Community where she also attended church. She was married to Willie C. Jones and to this union five children were born. She worked as a cook.

She was preceded in death by sister Carolyn McLaurin.

She is survived by six children: Undrey Jones of Gulfport, Contina (Joseph) Graves of Magee, Julion Jones, Van Jones, Demetrious (LaEdwina) Jones and Octavious Jones all of Bassfield; one sister, Cora (Dave) Nelson of Bassfield; one brother, Clifton Wolfe of Prentiss; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two close friends, Helen Keys and Margie Hall; many other relatives and friends.
