Funeral services were held Saturday, June 11, 2016 at St. Paul M. B. Church, Silver Creek, Mississippi for Mr. Willie Lee Funches, 76, who died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Jeff Davis Community Hospital.  Rev. Robert C. Scott officiated with interment following in the Pen Oak M.B. Church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Willie Lee Funches was born to the late Augusta and Delia Funches in Lawrence County, MS.  He was a member of Pen Oak M. B.Church where he served as a Deacon and was active in NAACP and Masons.

He is survived by: wife, Lillie Funches of Silver Creek, MS; children; grandchildren; brothers, Huey P. Gary of Biloxi, MS; Charles May of Silver Creek, MS; sisters, Carrie Moden of Ft. Wayne, IN and Gussie McClendon of Dallas, TX; many other relatives and friends.
