All Jefferson Davis County government offices will close at 11:00 AM this morning due to severe weather approaching our area.

Overnight the National Weather Service increased the risk for severe storms in Jefferson Davis County for today. JDC  now under a moderate risk (4 out of 5) for severe storms today.

Due to the impending severe weather, Prentiss Christian School is closed today and all school-related activities have been cancelled.

All Jefferson Davis County Schools will implement a virtual learning schedule.

These storms are likely to bring damaging winds up to 80 mph, hail, and strong tornadoes. The timing of this event is expected to be from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. today.
